Elaine has worked with her husband George Y. at Kerr’s Music World, Inc. since the business was incorporated in 1980. Elaine began selling band uniforms and choir robes to complement the sale of band instruments and accessories in the family business. She does design, fitting, and sales by personal visitation, e-mail, fax, letter and UPS. She handles store payroll and taxes. She also helps band instrument sales staff with beginner programs and assists with customers in store. A sales representative for the DeMoulin Bros. and Co., Elaine services accounts in West Virginia, southeastern Ohio and the western half of the state of Virginia. Elaine’s artistic sense, organizational, sales and computer skills have been essential to the success of Kerr’s Music World, Inc.
A former English teacher and mother of two, Elaine spends her work time devoted to the customers of West Virginia, Virginia, and southeastern Ohio. Her children, George S. and Sarah, both work in the field of music. George S. is a NAPBIRT repair technician in charge of Kerr’s Music Repair Shop. Sarah recently earned a Masters degree in Music Therapy at Florida State University and now works in the family business. In the family's spare time, they like to convert junk instruments into yard ornaments. Their garden at home features a sousaphone bell fountain, copper bowl timpani flower pots, a trumpet body address marker and several brass bell lighting fixtures.
